New Boat Rental Procedures

New Boat Rental Procedures

We are excited to see you on your upcoming visit! Please be aware we have new procedures in place to ensure the safety of our guests and employees.

Important Reminders

  • Maintain safe distance from other guests at all times and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
  • Please bring your own PPE, I.E. masks, gloves, hand sanitizer to keep you and our employees safe.
  • When or if you call for our maintenance services, we will not be able to board the vessel until it has been vacated.

Check Out Procedure

  • Please return the vessel back to the dock you departed from.
  • Piloting service will be available upon request at which time the captain will not board the vessel until you and your party are located on the top deck.
  • Please start gathering your gear in preparation for a port back to your vehicle.  Please wait onboard until a porter comes to your boat.
  • Please strip all bed linen and place in the plastic bags as well as remove all trash and personal belongings for the safety of our employees.
  • In the packet with your manual, you received an express checkout sheet.  Please fill this out and drop the packet in the white box at the end of the dock.  We encourage you to fill out our guest feedback form located in your packet to let us know about your experience.
  • Our staff will check in your boat and pilot to the fuel dock (Houseboats Only).  We will deduct the cost of fuel from your deposit and refund the remainder and or charge if the difference is more. We will then email you your final receipt.

Cleaning Products and Protocols

  • Boat Rentals will continue to use cleaning products which meet EPA guidelines and are approved to use against viruses, bacteria and other airborne pathogens.
  • We have increased the frequency of our cleaning, focused on those high touch points such as front office counters, door handles, public bathrooms, ATM’s, trash receptacles, and seating areas.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing protocols are used to clean all guest houseboats, with emphasis towards those frequently touched surfaces. This would include television remotes, toilet seats and handles, door handles, water faucet handles, nightstands, light switches, thermostat, driving helm, and kitchen appliances.
  • All linens will be changed after every rental as normal and washed at a high temperature and in accordance with CDC guidelines. Again, we ask that you and your party bag all of your linen and place in the kitchen.
  • All employees will be wearing PPE based on their role. This includes face masks, gloves, safety glasses, face shields, and Tyvek suits.

Small Craft and Water Toy Check In Procedure

  • Please follow the same check – in procedure for small craft or water toys. Your instructor will assist you with all rental needs.
  • We are only allowing three small craft reservations to check – in at a time to reduce the amount guests congregated in our offices and on our small boat dock.
  • Please be patient with us while this will lead to longer wait times.
  • As stated above, we have increased the frequency of our cleaning and sanitization schedule. Paying close attention to those high touch points on powerboats including, the helm, throttle, hand holds, cup holders, seats and PFD’s.
  • Kayaks, Kayak Paddles, PWC’s, paddleboards, paddleboard paddles will be sanitized multiple times per day.

We are closely monitoring the CDC and government policy changes/mandates. We will continue to make changes as necessary to our procedures and protocols based on the new information we receive. For more information regarding our commitment to safety, click here.
